The upcoming Future Air Force Conference 2024, embodies my desire, as expressed at the close of the 2023 edition, to establish a new tradition of convening Air Force Commanders, subject matter experts, representatives from industry, and academia. This gathering aims to address the imminent challenges confronting the aviation community. It brings me great joy to extend my patronage to this year's event and to personally participate. I anticipate numerous insightful contributions focused on enhancing Air Force personnel training and bolstering our capabilities. This is especially significant to me this year, given the recent contract signed by the Czech Republic for the procurement of fifth-generation F-35 aircraft. I eagerly anticipate welcoming you, together with the conference organisers, to the second edition of the Future Air Force Conference.

It is my great pleasure and privilege to invite you to join us for the second edition of Future Air Force Conference, to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 14 to 17 October 2024. This conference will bring together again the Commanders and Air Chiefs of respective national air forces, military planners and policy makers, training experts and instructors, academic staff, aviators, pilots, engineers, aviation subject matter experts, research and development specialists, as well as the aviation and defence industry executives, to discuss how to improve the quality of military flight training and operations to make both more effective and less costly. Throughout this conference, you will have the opportunity to engage in enlightening discussions, gain valuable knowledge from renowned experts, and discover cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing flight training practices.

BLOCK 1 – INNOVATIONS IN FLIGHT TRAINING |
Aspects of military pilot flight training for the new generation of aircraft to be introduced in the next 10 years are very complex and include a number of technological and tactical innovations. These aircraft bring revolutionary changes to military aviation, including advanced stealth technologies, shape-shifting capabilities, high levels of computer connectivity and situational awareness through sensitive sensors and smart surface technology. Pilot training must reflect these new features and prepare pilots for the challenges of flying these aircrafts. Pilot training for the fifth and sixth generation aircraft focuses on developing decision-making capabilities in highly complex combat environment. |

“Dronisation” is a phenomenon, now apparent in all physical operational environments. In the third block, we will focus on use of airpower in the near future or share lessons learned from current conflicts. UAVs have revolutionized military operations. These autonomous or remotely piloted aircraft offer precision strikes, persistent surveillance, and reduced risk to human lives. Their adaptability, cost-effectiveness, and strategic flexibility make them indispensable assets in contemporary conflicts.
